Samaritan's Purse
Operation christmas shoebox
CCYAC OBJECTIVE
After stomping on this amazing annual event, we decided to partake as we know the value and importance of putting a smile on a childs face. We were kids years ago and our childhood memories will forever be trophies to us. This year we wish to support this course with 30 Shoeboxes. We've decided to allocate a box to each member of our association. We plan to partake in this annually while looking forward to doubling the number of boxes we contribute each year. We want to be a reason a child can smile wholeheartedly this Christmas year because we can all agree that this global pandemic has affected us all
More than 10.5 million shoebox gifts were collected in 2019.
Mission
The mission of Operation Christmas Child is to provide God’s love in a tangible way to children in need around the world, and together with the local church worldwide, to share the Good News of Jesus Christ. Franklin Graham leads a team to deliver Operation Christmas Child shoeboxes to boys and girls in Bosnia in 1995.
As a child i still remember the feeling of receiving a gift every Christmas. I know not every parent can afford a gift for their child especially during the world's current crisis, that's why I took part in this great activity
